There is a hotel, the Boar’s Head, which has a public bar and restaurant. The nearest shop is in Ballantrae, or for more shops visit Girvan about 9 miles away.
It is not far to the sea at Ballantrae where there is a small harbour and lovely beaches. This is where the River Stinchar flows into the sea.
